Shanna Lowery Petry
With more than 25 years in the modeling, photography and entertainment industry, Shanna Petry co-founded Trinity Model & Talent Management to discover and cultivate emerging talent found in all ages, sizes, looks and walks of lowcountry life. She wanted to help fill a management gap she felt the market demand had created in her home city of Charleston, South Carolina.
Often seeing talent from behind the lens, Petry has always been inspired by identifying natural talent and nurturing the poise and grace that stem from developing self-confidence and showcasing inter-beauty.
Her previous venture, Petry Model & Talent Management, was named Agency of the Year. Among other accolades, her solo management agency proved successful in consistently garnering callbacks and placements for clients with some of the industry’s most influential agencies to include global-market management teams and international casting directors. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Petry worked within the NBC television family for six years, serving as an on-air personality for both FOX and the WB Kids’ Club and working closely with advertising production teams.
When she was ready to get back into the modeling and talent management game, Petry turned to her longtime friend and local public relations, marketing and networking guru, Alicia Ward, for the commercial insight and media strategy to compliment her entertainment expertise.
Petry is a proud Stall High School alumni and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. She is a founding member of the EEE Promise, was one of the original model trainers of Charleston Magazine’s Charleston Fashion Week, and has had her photos used on hundreds of model and talent composite cards across the world.
She is currently president of the Charles Pinckney Elementary School PTO, a volunteer at Cario Middle School and the proud momma to Michael John, Ella and Ava. When not on the side lines of a field, court or stage, she and her husband Michael travel to model and talent conventions where Michael, a former model, serves as master of ceremony and she serves as event photographer. Together they own Petry Professional Photography out of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
Alicia Gleiter Ward
Alicia Ward brings over two decades of advertising, branding and public relations experience to Trinity Modeling & Talent Management. Never one to shy away from a new challenge, Ward is a results-oriented, strategic public relations, communications and marketing professional with a track record of creative and successful communications campaigns for a variety of brands.
After a career helping to create and cultivate the brand and business of two professional service firms headquartered in the Lowcountry, she launched Ward Communications LLC with the aim of helping dynamic entrepreneurs and small to mid-size businesses leverage and enhance their communications and marketing.
After two and half years of working as a consultant to numerous clients within a variety of industries, Ward recognized a glaring gap for identifying and nurturing local talent for the advertising, public relations, fashion, performing arts, film and special event industries. With Charleston being “the place to be/visit/shoot and film” for weddings, arts, fashion, technology, tennis, vacation, food, craft beer, tourism, to name a few, she knew the faces for these campaigns lived right next door.
To help fill this void, she immediately reached out to her high school friend, USC J-school comrade, fellow soccer-mom and model photographer Shanna Lowery Petry. Three meetings and 24 cups of coffee and tea later, Trinity Modeling & Talent Management was created!
Ward earned a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism with an emphasis in advertising and public relations from the USC School of Journalism. She has served on the Executive Committee of the SC Public Relations Society of America Board of Directors, the Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry and the Summerville High School Class of 1992 Reunion Committee. She is a proud recipient of Charleston’s Best and Brightest Award and Charleston’s 40 Under 40 Award.
She is delighted to have the opportunity to couple her professional experiences with her passion to help others grow and meet their personally and professionally goals while meeting new friends and learn new skill sets.
When Ward is not jumping between client meetings, posting on social for a client or not-for-profit she volunteers for or scouting for new talent, she can likely found with her husband Justin, cheering on Jake, Noah and/or Grace beside a field, a track, a pool or driving someone to one of those places.
